At the recent AGM, Joye Woodhead was elected Chairman, Richard Collett Treasurer, Ann Murray Secretary with Michael Woodhead, Allan Humphries, Sue Phipps and Jo Ferrari making up the rest of the Committee.
We were delighted to welcome Wilma Mee to the Committee as well, making up a full Committee for the first time.
Subscriptions were held at £12.50 and are now due. Ann was inundated with Film suggestions for next session and would be sending these out for people to vote on very shortly. Also, there would be a Magic Evening on 10th October, followed by the usual very popular Christmas Dinner in December.

Marston Montgomery
Arts Festival
Saturday 18th May & Sunday 19th May
10.00 am to 4.30 pm

Just a reminder that this is just over a fortnight away and that all Marstonians are invited to take part!
There will be:

Paintings in the Village Hall.
We are already expecting 60 to 80 paintings from all over the district. If you have produced any works of art and would like to exhibit them, then please contact Joye Woodhead 590472 by 13th May.
As in other years, flowers are displayed in St.Giles’ Church. There must be many in the village who have expertise in flower arranging. This year the subject is ‘Countries of the World’. Contact Wilma Mee (591095) or Ann Murray (591181) for details.
Those with ambition to show off their literary skills, let Ann Murray (591181) have your work by 8th May. There is no subject title. They will be exhibited in the church alongside the photographs and flowers.
We usually get 60 to 80 exhibits in St.Giles’ Church. The subject this year is ‘Water’ and already a great deal of interest has been expressed. So see what you’ve got, print and mount up to six of them and let Michael Woodhead have them by Wednesday 15th May at the latest. Again all the visitors to the exhibition will act as judges and there will be a prize for the best photograph.
Any queries phone Michael 590472
Anagram Competition
Anagrams will be displayed all round the centre of the village for everyone to solve, and a prize will be awarded to the winner. Entry forms will be issued at the village hall and church.
School Exhibition
An extensive exhibition of the work of the school will be exhibited in the church.

A £1 fee to cover various costs will be charged on entry at either the church or the village hall, at the start of your journey, and your single ticket will cover everything!
